Peanut Butter & Netulla Cookies

Calling all cookie lovers!  Do I have a cookie for you.  These Peanut Butter and Nutella Cookies are nothing short of fabulous.  They are moist and flavorful, not dry like many peanut butter cookie recipes I’ve tried.  And the combo with Nutella is amazing.  I love Nutella.  I really discovered it studying abroad in Jerusalem.  I ate it every day with apples or bread…  can you imagine? It’s amazing I didn’t gain a hundred pounds!  I’ve now backed off on my insane intake, I still love the stuff.  I like experimenting with it, and I’ve got a few other good recipes in the works.  I had to make these cookies a few times before I got it right, and believe me… they are now just right!

Peanut Butter and Nutella Cookies
Submitted by Mindy ~ The Sisters Cafe

1 cup butter (2 sticks) room temperature
2/3 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy – I like crunchy)
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 2/3 cup flour
2 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
heaping 1/3 cup Nutella

Cream butter, peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla together until smooth. Combine flour, soda and salt and add to butter mixture. Add Nutella in dollops over the top of the dough.  Use a butter knife to swirl the Nutella through the dough.  Do not over mix.  Chill in fridge for 15 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.  Bake until slightly brown at edges.  Let cool a few minutes on cookie sheet before transferring.

Family Photo Time

Well.. I thought it would be a great idea to do another set of family photos. It's been since Ethan was about 2 months old (if that). I love taking pictures of my family.. I feel like you can never have to many pictures of kids, family and your life... they are records of your history.

No reason why you can't be silly in your photos... This one, our friend Lyal, caught me in the act of imitating Devin... he ended up be faster at the click of the camera than I was at showing Devin his photo skills...

Sometimes, you may have a little one who just wants to do what he thinks is fun... it's litt;e pictures like this I love. He just wanted to do his own thing!

Girls are much easier! (and so beautiful!)
They have all been full warned, that we will be doing more pictures in about 6 months together as a family! Now, to go and edit my beautiful photos, Develop them and add new photos on our Family wall!!!

Animals... zoo #2

Just a few of my favorite animals we saw....

Do the Zoo #1

We had a great Monday. Our family decided it would be great to get our local area Missionaries together and take the to the Nashville Zoo on "P-Day".  We also met up with some missionaries that we picked up that use to be in our area!
We ended up having 12 Missionaries, 6 kids and 2 married couples!!!  It was a great time.  Their is NEVER a dull moment when you have this many people around.. and you NEVER realize how many church members are out until you have this many missionaries with you!
On our way into the zoo, a lady and her child was walking out... members!  while in the zoo, we ran into at least 6 other members!

My kids LOVE the missionaries... especially Elder Mitchel Hyde! He is always giving the kids rides on his shoulders! I think they like him so much because he is a "grown" kid! Ha!  ... I think they were most excited about one who use to serve in our ares, Elder Logan Carlson.... He is kinda like a big brother to the kids!  I mean, really... he served in our ares for so many transfers and was here for Ethan's first steps!
